Ukraine
For the past three years the parish has made collections for the Church in Ukraine. We are supporting two different parish priests and provided funds to complete renovations for another parish in Kurst.
Last year we raised $14,899 to support Ukrainian orphans and priests in need. We donated an additional $5,200 from the 2025 parish festival.
St. Ann’s has also donated $7062.26 in 2024 and $6,872.00 in 2025 to assist war orphans in Ukraine. Click here to read a letter from Sr. Joann Sosler, OSBM.
We continue to take up a special collection for relief efforts in Ukraine. Donations are still being accepted. Checks should be payable to Saint Ann Parish. Please mark Ukraine Collection on your donation.
Messages of Gratitude from Ukraine
St. Ann’s has been blessed to support two parish priests and their families in Ukraine. Below are Christmas messages of gratitude we received from Fathers Ivan Svitlyk and Ivan Lovska. Please take a moment to watch and read their words. We remain united in prayer and support for them and for all of Ukraine.
From: Fr Ivan Svitlyk, December 31, 2025.
Christ is born and I thank you, Fr Taras, and your spiritual flocks who have been helping our family for several years now, and this year, as pilgrims of hope, I thank the Lord God who does not forget us and gives us life, and during this Christmas time, on the Nativity of our Lord Jesus.
With great, Hope begins great, Hope that God has not forgotten us, does not forget us, and gives us life. During Christmas of Our Lord Jesus Christ, I want to thank all of you who provide help for my family.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!
Our greetings to all the parishioners of St Ann Byzantine Catholic Church.
We thank everyone for their care of us in Ukraine. On this radiant and saving day of the Nativity of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, the Church joyfully proclaims the great mystery of God's Incarnation: "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us" (John 1:14). The Son of God, born of the Most Pure Virgin Mary in Bethlehem, comes to us as the Light of the world, to deliver humanity from sin, death, and corruption and to grant us participation in His divine life.
May the grace of the newborn Savior enlighten our minds and hearts, strengthen us in faith, establish us in love, and grant peace to our families and to all of Ukraine. May the Christmas joy that resounds in the Church's carol always lead us along the path of the Gospel.
With prayer for you on, Father Ivan and family!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
